I’m currently a junior at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, majoring in International Studies. Because of the specifics of my major, I know the importance of English. Former South African President Nelson Mandela once said, “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” Meaning: “If you speak in a language that the listener has learned, he will remember it with his brain. If you speak in his native language, he will remember with all his heart.” Therefore, learning a new language not only helps you with your studies and work but also helps you exchange information and communicate better and more effectively.
